ANXIETY

I work with people feeling overwhelmed by “what if” thoughts about a range of issues. For some, anxiety can be situational and triggered by work, finances, relationships, or health. For others, anxiety is less about what is happening around them and more about how they feel about themselves. Internal triggers may include insecurity, sensitivity to criticism, self-consciousness, self-doubt, and abandonment issues. Regardless of the trigger, I am trained to equip you with what you need to rise above the noise of the anxiety that is dragging you down.

OCD

I specialize in a type of OCD known as Pure O which is characterized by obsessions and intrusive thoughts that lead to intense rumination and reassurance-seeking. Obsessions and intrusive thoughts can revolve around things such as a fear of causing harm, the validity of a relationship, sexual orientation, violating ethics or sinning, and the nature of reality. Using a combination of Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I will help you learn to tolerate uncertainty and discomfort, and get out of the grips of your obsessions so you can start living the life you want.

RELATIONSHIPS

I work with both individuals and couples struggling with love and intimacy. Common concerns include conflict-avoidance, communication issues, people-pleasing behavior, attachment issues, toxic relationship patterns, breakups, betrayal, consensual non-monogamy, codependency, and boundary issues. Whether I’m working with an individual or a couple, I utilize a combination of Relational Life Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy to help people live in a way in which they can start to feel loving connection with others and themselves.
